When a DSR Message to which the CDM Statement is a response, covers a period longer than the period between the StartOfClaimPeriod and the EndOfClaimPeriod, such as a quarter, the period between the StartOfClaimPeriod and the EndOfClaimPeriod can be used to identify sub-periods for claims in right shares. The StartOfClaimPeriod and the EndOfClaimPeriod reflect the reporting period range agreed between the licensee and the licensor and may be the aggregation of several periods reported in a DSR Message. A value in the StartOfClaimPeriod is mandatory if the licensor is responding to a DSR Message that provides separate sub-periods.
